We are doing a really cool road trip before gas prices make it undoable, this gem in Portage Wisconsin is Amazing! I was totally in the mood for a good small town breakfast and this place is exactly what I wanted. I got the Farmers Skillet and it came with two pancakes, so much food for 9.99!! And it’s not only the quantity but it’s absolutely delicious. If you’re riding by or even if you’re not, this place is worth the drive. The staff was also incredible, small town, happy, and friendly. Everything I love about America!
It has been a long time since I have been in this restaurant. I had the pork roast with dressing. Omg so much food, it also came with a potato, vegetable, soup or salad and desert. I couldn't finish. It was so good. I will be going back. My granddaughter got the biggest burger I have ever seen. There were 3 of us and we spent under 50.00
Food was very good! We both ordered breakfast skillets and they were delicious. The portions were huge, and we both ended up taking half of it home. The restaurant was busy, but the service was still good. Our waitress was very nice and accommodating. I only scored atmosphere a three because the place seemed pretty run down. Could definitely use a pick me up. Our menus were dirty. I don't know if that bothers other people, but it grosses me out. Other than that, a very nice breakfast.
This was my first visit to Red Apple in Portage. The server was extremely friendly and the food was delicious. I ordered the Chicken Cordon Bleu sandwich which not many places have that but it is by far my favorite! It was really good and my daughter loved her cheeseburger and fries. Not to mention a heaping mound of cheese curds. If you're in the area or just passing through, it's a must stop!
This is our go to place monthly sometimes more! Great food. Wonderful staff!!! You know your welcome when the waitress know your beverage!
We stopped in at the Red Apple Restaurant. Walking in the door you get that small hometown feel. We were greeted right away and got a seat in a booth. We looked over the menu and I found a breakfast gyro burrito to order and of course some coffee. There was a little bar seating area that we liked. There was also an open kitchen that you can see from your seats. The food came out before we could even get a refill of coffee, the burrito was delicious and had great gusto, full of taste. It was a good size and very filling. Shayla ordered the Corned Beef Skillet. Her dish came with peppers, onions, corned beef hash, and a side of French toast. So much food! Everything blended together for a fantastic dish. There are three Red Apple Restaurants which are family owned but not affiliated with each other. This is a great little spot to check out. 4.5 stars out of 5
